McDonald's Sheffield identified the need to enhance its customer offering by providing convenient electric vehicle charging while supporting its wider environmental commitments.

The existing car park needed to accommodate new EV charging points without disrupting the restaurant's daily operations. So, to avoid messy trenches, Instavolt chose our underground directional drilling as a solution.

Instavolt’s objective was to design and install EV charging solution that would:

So Instavolt worked with Mole Group to determine the most suitable charger locations, electrical requirements, and directional drilling route.

The project included:

·       Installing the necessary containment and cabling routes.

·       Coordinating works to minimise disruption to customers and staff throughout the installation process.

The completed installation provided the outlet with modern Instavolt charging.
